broken screen is one of the most common reasons that the iPhone has to be repaired, and in most places there are far cheaper option than going to Apple. The problem for those who have a relatively new iPhone is a third-party repair means that Apple is not concerned with any warranty issues whatsoever.
Good news: This policy has now changed, writes Macrumors. In a statement distributed to Apple stores on Friday that the site has taken part of the company writes that the screen repair is no longer violate the warranty for repairs related to other parts of the phone, as long as the one who repaired the screen has not affected the other components.
Other components that have been replaced, for example, lightning connector and battery, will continue to make all the phone invalidate the warranty service.
Macrumors has confirmed that the policy change applies in the US and Canada, but writes that it probably should also apply in other countries.
