When we think battery shell is hard not to think about the Mophie. The company has made thick battery shell that extends the life of our smartphones in principle as long as the iPhone has been around.
Here we test Mophies latest creation, the Juice Pack Air. It is at first glance a right traditionally battery shell – but which offers a pleasant surprise. Juice Pack Air comes in red, blue, gold, pink and black, which we test here, and are available for the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus. For Iphone 7 provides battery shell little more than a full charge, the power losses on the road omitted.
to iPhone 7 Plus is sufficient capacity is not really a full charge. The shell holds 2420 mAh, while 7 plus own battery capacity 2900 mAh. Nevertheless, it gives a great boost to the battery, the Mophie themselves claim up to 60 percent more power and 33 hours total battery life. It obviously depends on what we use the phone, but we can easily go two days without having to plug in during normal use.
On the underside there is a micro USB port for charging the battery and the phone. We would have preferred usb c, or why not Lightning? Micro USB port support, however, both charging and data transfer so that we can easily sync to iTunes or transfer images via cable to our PC. Phew, the shell is entitled troublesome to remove.
The fact that there is no Lightning port also allows Lightning handsets unusable – wireless is what counts here. Worth thinking about is that this battery skin is not protected against water. The water protection Iphone 7 will not have as much worth as the battery shell is likely to give up if you drop it in water.
Otherwise, give the Juice Pack Air is a good protection for all parts of the phone, and also has raised edges to protect the screen a little better.
