recognition factor can probably be high. You have copied a text string that you want to transfer from, for example, a website into a document. But instead of just getting face, pulled the rest of the page and links, formatting and code interferes with the whole design.
How to solve this kind of precarious problems? The first option is to manually go through the document and remove troublemakers, but it is both time-consuming activity and dull. You can get around and we show you how to do. As a bonus, you save time and energy.
We have assumed two of the most common ways for document on the Mac – namely Apple's own Pages, and Google Docs. These two complement each other quite well where one focuses on offline (although it is possible that the cooperation write via the cloud now) while the other is online based.
Start by copying the text you wish get by. But instead of pasting outright, choose to go to Edit and take the "Paste and Match Style."
Then all the copied text to adapt to the font and size you have by default. All unnecessary formatting is gone and the only thing you need to do beforehand is to remove any captions. Smoothly!
Google's online writing software lacks Pages feature to paste straight off without formatting. However, it is good to solve afterwards.
Start by pasting the text you want in your document. Then select the entire paragraph and click on the icon that looks like a "T" with an "x" on the side. The icon to the right to remove text formatting and using it will thickness, colors and fonts to be adapted to what you have chosen in advance. Important to note is that any hyperlinks does not disappear. They will need to delete manually.
Obviously, there are other softwares to use to avoid boring text formatting. A perfect example is BBEdit developed by Bare Bones. The program cleans text formatting and adapts it for "rich text" formatting – a standardized format without a lot of unnecessary code.
BBEdit costs, however, a coin (over 500 billion) and is not prepared to pay, provides the same company free version TextWrangler offering the same type of "textvätt" but without other advanced features.
