Recently, rumors about the new iPad has been raging up and it looks like we will soon get at least one new model, if not several. Last updated Apple Ipad was in March 2016 when the iPad 9.7 inch Pro was launched, and before that in November 2015, when 12.9-inch model was released and launched Pro series.
What new iPad models will be released?
Traffic analysis firm Fiksu recently discovered four new iPad models that have begun to be used near the Apple headquarters. They have the model designations, 7.1, 7.2, 7.3 and 7.4. It looks like it could be the talk of the entire four new models. It is also possible that there are two new iPad Pro, but with or without 3G / LTE.
Several rumors have talked about that Apple is planning both more updated models and a minor update of the iPad Pro 9.7 inches, which at the same time price cut. According to Macotakara the latter will be a minor update with A10X processor but no other significant improvements over last year's model.
Another rumor from Macrumors claim that the very simple new 9.7-inch model will be released first and then followed by two fatter updates with screen of 10.5 and 12.9 inches. 10.5-inch model is said according to the analyst Rhoda Alexander get a resolution of 2224×1668 pixels, which would give the same pixel density as the 9.7-inch model. Rhoda Alexander says, however, that the processor becomes the A10, which rhymes poorly with A10X in the simpler model.
Other sources have also spoken about A10X, or possibly A10X Fusion, but it seems to be more about logical conjecture based on previous product cycles than on actual leaks from Apple or subcontractors.
If the rumors about the 10.5-inch model is correct, it will be an iPad which in appearance is not larger than the old 9.7-tummaren, but with a more comprehensive screen and considerably slimmer frame. What happens to the 12.9-tummaren – if it also gets narrower frame so that it actually becomes smaller external dimensions – there is no information.
When will iPad Pro 2?
The rumors about the launch date is at least as varied as information about what the new iPad will actually be. Among other states Digitimes that Apple will showcase the new 10.5-inch model at an event in early April (maybe Apple Park).
Macotakara claimed this week that a new iPad Pro 2 9.7 inch may be released as early as next week, without any fanfare. If this is one of the four new models of the iPad that have been discovered in the traffic logs, the question remains what the others are. One possibility is that the four models are 10,5- and 12.9-incher with and without 3G / LTE, while a new 9.7-inch model is tested with an unchanged name from last year's model.
Unlike the iPhone 7S / iPhone 8, which is surrounded by an incredible number of rumors about everything from materials to wireless charging, it has not been nearly as many rumors iPad Pro 2. But a few things have nevertheless been mentioned alongside data on market pressures and screen sizes:
- A new Apple Pencil with improved hardware, which perhaps can be attached with magnets to the new toad. A patent application from Apple also shows how the pencil could be attached to the Smart Connector for charging while it is held in place.
- Changes in the IOS that caters to professional users, such as support for Pencil in other apps.
- Four microphones and maintaining phone.
- "Touch Bar" – a more urskruvat rumor says that both the iPhone 8 and the new iPad Pro will skip the Home button, making the screen a bit more elongated and include a Touch Bar-like line that usually takes up space "at the net" where the home key is today.
