According to an Appleinsider report, some users of Apple's new Iphone models have encountered issues with the built-in GPS. More specifically, the accuracy of the hits has been a bit so, especially when the user has been moving at high speed, for example in the car.
An Appleinsider reader has received three Iphone 8 Plus devices in one month, when Apple has collected the diagnostic devices.
Many affected users have simply exchanged their phones, but it does not seem to solve the problem, which indicates that it is a combination of how IOS manages the GPS signals and the environment in which these users are moving.
Unlike ordinary gps problems where you get out of position for a while and then get back right again, this seemingly unusual bug is about wrong positions are not corrected when the signal returns.
Some users have reported that the beta of iOS 11.2 has fixed the error, and "miscellaneous gps fixes" is also included in Apple's notes for the update.
