The Apple promised iPhone 8, Iphone 8 Plus, and Iphone X flashback now seems to be on its way. From iOS 11.2, new Iphone models will be able to charge wirelessly 50 percent faster, up to 7.5 watts instead of today's five watts. It writes Macrumors, following a tip from the accessory manufacturer Ravpower that tested to load wirelessly in IOS 11.2.

In their tests, the phone charged from 46 to 66 percent in 30 minutes, versus 46 to 60 percent on the five watt charger. A moderate but still welcome increase, which should also mean that wireless charging is now faster than charging with the included Iphone charger, provided the wireless charger supports up to 7.5 watts.
The third beta version of IOS 11.2 was released on Monday evening, and with usually five or six beta versions, it should only be a few weeks before IOS 11.2 is released to the public.
