Apple works on smart glasses with support for enhanced reality, ar, is one of the hottest rumors right now. This week we reported that the glasses could be released in 2020, complete with their own operating system.
New rumors are now saying that they can actually be released by 2019. It comes from a statement that Quanta, one of Apple's partners, released Tuesday. Specifically, according to Nikkei, the board member C. C. Leung said in a financial report the following:
"At the moment, we see that such gadgets are available on the market by 2019."
Apple happens to be Quanta's biggest customer, and it's also Quanta that installs Macbookar and Apple Watch watches. In addition to pointing out a release window, Leung described the project as "a headset-like gadget with fully transparent lens that allows users to interact with the environment."
When Apple did not say anything, the information should of course be taken with a pinch of salt.
