Gymkit was featured on this year's edition of WWDC as a new feature of Watch OS 4. With nfc technology, the Watch carrier can simply keep its watch close to a compatible treadmill or other gym equipment to synchronize with the watch. Well synchronized, the training data will be more accurate as information is retrieved from two different sources – both the clock and the machine.

Now Gymkit starts rolling out for the first time, and the first country to have the feature is Australia. It reports, among other things, Wareable. Gymkit requires updated, compatible gym equipment, making rollout a little more complicated. Manufacturers such as Technogym, Matrix Fitness, Life Fitness, Stair Master and Schwinn will support the technology. According to Apple, these companies account for 80 percent of equipment in gyms around the world.
We have no information about when Gymkit is coming to Sweden.
